My Career Challenge: I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2022 and felt stuck trying to break into social media while working two part-time jobs. I had also created my own internship in the FemTech space, which sparked my interest in Marketing and PR. At the same time, I was considering going back to graduate school and was eyeing NYU’s prestigious Integrated Marketing program. My goal with working with Ellen was to gain clarity and build a focused, strategic path into the industry.
How Coaching Helped: Ellen helped me navigate a complex situation where I lacked a clear strategy for success. I had applied to over 200 jobs online without results, didn’t know how to position my self-created FemTech internship, and felt unsure whether to pursue a Master’s in Marketing or continue job searching. I was stressed, overwhelmed, and starting to lose confidence.
Outcome:
Working with Ellen was AMAZING. I can’t believe how quickly things changed with her guidance. She helped me gain clarity, network strategically, and conduct informational interviews to tap into the hidden job market. I also learned how to confidently reach out to professionals on LinkedIn. Ellen supported me in refining my resume, strengthening my video and in-person interview skills, and positioning myself for a spot in a NYC graduate program. She helped me solidify my interest in PR and Marketing and set me up to pursue roles at top organizations. I continue to work with Ellen and now approach my career with far more confidence, direction, and strategy.
